The Story Behind "The Midwest Harvest" Collection
Fall has always been my favorite time of year. Growing up in the Midwest, I’ve always looked forward to that first crisp morning, the changing leaves, and all the cozy traditions that make this season so special. Around here, we don’t just like fall - we absolutely love it. Bonfires, pumpkin patches, hayrides, and apple cider are part of our DNA. That’s why when it came time to name this seasonal release, it only felt right to call it The Midwest Harvest Collection.
Some of my favorite childhood memories are tied to this season. Every fall, my family would take us to local pumpkin patches, it was a tradition we never missed. The smell of hay, the crunch of leaves underfoot, and picking out the perfect pumpkin were just part of what made fall feel so magical. Now, all these years later, my family actually owns a pumpkin patch of our own—The Patch in St. Elmo, IL. It’s come full circle, and I couldn’t be prouder to be part of a family that helps create those same memories for other families in our community.
This collection is my way of bottling up that feeling of Midwest fall. Each candle is hand-poured with scents that bring to life everything we adore about autumn. Warm spices, fresh apples, earthy woods, and cozy comfort. My goal was to create candles that don’t just smell amazing but also capture the nostalgia of fall in the Midwest.
Another reason this collection feels so special is because it was truly built by the Midwest. Over 90% of the materials used to make these candles were purchased from small businesses right here in our region. From wax and wicks to fragrance oils and packaging, I made it a priority to shop local and support other makers. When you buy from this collection, you’re not just bringing home a fall candle, you’re also helping support hardworking small businesses across the Midwest.
The Midwest Harvest Collection is more than just candles. It’s a love letter to autumn, to the Midwest, and to the traditions that make this season unforgettable. Whether you’re lighting one in your living room, gifting it to a friend, or burning it after a trip to the pumpkin patch, I hope these hand-poured candles fill your home with the warmth and comfort of a true Midwest fall.
